Write access to the system partition is usually blocked by the stock kernel at boot. i need to flash a modified kernel to be able to obtain write access to /system with adb for hdmi state patch .
Try this
adb root
adb remount
This will allow writes to system
I can change it to insecure in the initrd if you like
Can you explain this hdmi state patch to me further, the site you referenced was in korean i dont understand
Do you need writes during early boot?

have modified kernel to always report 0 for /sys/devices/virtual/switch/hdmi/state // this was easy
now I just need to take care of /sys/class/display/HDMI/connected //ok this was easy too
seem's that some apps are looking beyond these two variables for example the "stan" app in australia
ok here it is, https://mega.nz/#!XcIGVKBC!g9KsetZlz...MrtHNkuGJHZvLA
this has
/sys/devices/virtual/switch/hdmi/state = 0
and
/sys/class/display/HDMI/connected = 0

Can you test HBO Go, HBO Now, not sure which app has free streams to test.
It said something about 'external display connected'

I have'nt tested those apps yet as I need a VPN to get access, I did have some success with "Stan" which is a video streaming service similar to netflix,
before i would just get a black screen, now i get a picture but it flickers black, as if the variable is constantly changing

Ionix:
I have followed your work, but I have a box that I could not take advantage.
It is possible both
1.The Zido launcher, work in firmware 201L tronsmart
2. DRM, Widevine L3 support.
I do not know if other people have noticed, but my case is all time my box is hot.
Honestly, I'm tired of the shortcomings of this box.
Programmers like you have my respect.
Go back to the original firmware and try to ignore the stuttering.
Overclocking can burn my processor
Thank you

1. The Zidoo launcher is deeply ingrained into the framework so i cant bring it across, ive tried.
2. This is definately possible
If your box runs too hot, you can use the standard kernel
