I need some ideas as to why the boot logo looks like this. I've made a backup of my own box where the boot logo is perfect, full screen, full colour, using TWRP. I've bought two boxes as gifts for family which I'm taking back home when I visit. I've used TWRP to restore the backup onto the two boxes. One box the boot logo is perfect, the other looks like it's shrunken and in grey scale. This box boots normally and everything else looks the same. Any ideas?

I'm running H96 Pro + 3G/32G green PCB. All the boxes are the same. Running SCv7a.

Can i flash this firmware to this device in the attachment? If the chip that has a qr code on it is the wifi Chip it says AW-CM273SM on it. Thats why i'm confused. In the back it there is a sticker which says CZ 3G+32G+9377 so seems like its suitable right?

This is not the Android TV version, right? So the standard Android version. What is the difference to the original version, which was already on the box?

Not ATV one.
A lot - gamepads support, OC of CPU ("true" 8 core CPU, not 4+4) and GPU, a lot of fixes, support for 3rd party launchers, safe root (stock can be easily bricked that way).

I just ran the update on a H96 Pro+ box that I purchased from GearBest.

But now the box seems to freeze on the splash screen? I have attached a photo.

Can anyone help or give me some advice? It would be greatly appreciated.

*** Did either of you try to flash SCV4 again with >Erase BootLoader selected. Maybe older Android 6 still on some shipped China Boxes? ***

Are your China Boxes hot? Check the power supply also.
Can you set your HDMI port to 720p...to see if it is a Hand-Shake issue?


What is the model/colour of your PCB?

If any of the above is useless, are you using the same HDMI port and cable from the T.V. ?

Which update did you just run? SCV4 (Colour) on your box and update SCV7A ?
Maybe ask Mandrake to send(Send Anywhere apk) his TWRP version to you and see if you can at least get to desktop?

I live in China. So I get the original H96 Pro plus here. The one with the mbox on boot. I tried using the usb burning tool on the one that has the weird boot logo but keeps failing. Spoke to the supplier they said they have 2 variants with the difference being the memory used. The PCB is green, although I did try the blue PCB ROM. No luck. I'm sending it back in exchange for the other variant. Seems I got one of each with my delivery.

My box never runs hot.

The TWRP I'm using is the image file in SCv7a zip file.

I think it's just a matter of the ROM not being compatible with the hardware. The second box with the normal boot logo is perfect.

Superceleron's firmware does both DDR3 and DDR4. I wonder what is the difference in the new(?) boxes?

Yeah unfortunately my Chinese isn't quite good enough to quite understand the detailed difference when they explained but enough to know there was a difference.

Hey there guys,

I have instaled scv7a version of firmware and now my original tv remote won't turn on/off tv box. The same is happening with usb air mouse. What could be wrong, is there anything to fix this? I have reinstaled firmware but the same is happening with both remote controls. It is very annoying to pull out/put in cable every time I want to turn on tv box. Hope you have some suggestions.

I know at the beginning there was not Vulkan API support, but what about latest version? Still nothing?

Cannot find any info if there is or not Vulkan API in newer firmwares for Amlogic S912 Boxes.

Guys... im sorry but im really thinking in ending the support on this box, i cant compete with all the HW changes out there i really cant... is already to many clones and clones of clones all other bullshit...
Im getting tired of it, so im really considering ending the support.... or i will continue the support only for the boxes that i have... if it works it works for you guys if wont work it wont work, or i just stop ALL...
I already have a SCV8 internal, where i did a lot of changes ( Must of them i already forgot what i did........................) im going to think if im going to rls it as it is.. or not... Plz dont ask for it.
And PLZ STOP PM's about this h96 other h96 blabla h96 i have a shit load of PM's like that, i know you guys want to help, but like that it makes it even worse.... Post it here i will read it i always read all posts everyday, and when i have something to say dont worry i will reply..

I know you had a lot of work around Xmas and probably now that`s a constant thing, but still wanted to give it a try: will we get the external SCV8 release (last for our H96 boxes) in the next month or two or next quarter and will it feature Kprypton based FTMC?

I know asking for ETAs is kind of stupid but if you get a rough idea this will still help. Thanks!!!

Well i stopped giving dates, since now i have must of my time occupied with work and family....
About FTMC krypton that i can tell you is on hold, for how long... dunno really!

Tnx mate, it is already better than we wished! 7.1.2 is rocking it! I was thinking to buy another android tv box, but then I saw, there is nothing better than S912, and H96 + pro even beats Beeling GT1 Ultimate... so I am probably getting another H96... or wait for something new to pop up.
