superceleron is there a way to mount/edit an image (img) file and to extract a file from one of the partitions?
I want to extract the original remote.conf from the original firmware, is this possible?

Yes is possible, use amlogic tools!

Using mount command in Terminal (with Root) doesn't work?
        Code:
        mount -t [B]X[/B] -o loop [B]XXX[/B].img /[B]Y[/B]
Where X is file system, XXX is image name and Y is mount point (directory).

Is it this file? Had already unpacked system partition (from stock's TWRP backup). It was in /etc folder.

yes that´s the file, but I also need to extract it from another box image
I was playing with AmlUITool v1.6.2 but I suppose this is not the one I should use because it only loads zip files.
Is the "mount -t X -o loop XXX.img /Y" a linux command? Mostly I am using windows but I also have a machine with mint installed

          thanks

It is, but it also works with rooted Android. It may be enought to use mount -t XXX Y. Without "loop" and "-o". Depends if it's loop device.

You can try this (old) guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-img-t1081239
And use Cygwin to use Linux commands on Windows.

I believe it may be wrong mapping. I don't think Android lets You to remap buttons of the connected keyboard, but You could remap (for whole device) Context button as Home one and than it will work

Correct. You can use Update app as well, it will automatically boot the TWRP and flash the chosen .zip file.
However if You want to flash Root (MAGISK or SuperSU) after V7A, than its easier to boot to TWRP with the pin (paperclip) method.
Additionally it gives You a possibility to make backup of V4 before flashing V7A update. If anything bad happens (shouldn't), than You will be able to restore that backup (as long as TWRP will boot).
What I ve done and it works
Since I was not able to see the recovery screen on my tv (using paperclip)
To update scv4 to scv7 ota
I ve copy the zip file into sdcard(without anything else ) .. use ota update with local file and it works
Then I try the paperclip to see TWRP and it works

One others question how do you configure lighthome launcher.. since I am not using KODI
                    thanks

I don't think You can change to much with this Launcher, only add/remove smaller shortcuts. I found HALauncher as best one (for me). It's stable, but I found 2 bugs:
                      • If You press Back to much it Force Closes (but it's launched back as I freezed other launchers),
                      • Sometimes apps shortcuts on "mine screen" loose their icon (there is pixelated Android) and have to be removed and added back.
Other than that I can recommend it. However it seems to not support widgets.

There was guide somewhere. However I cannot find it now.
                          1. Download both SCV4 and update (SCV7A).
                          2. Unpack both .zip files.
                          3. Power off the Box.
                          4. Connect male2male USB cable to Box.
                          5. Install USB Burning Tool
                          6. Launch it.
                          7. Click File->Import image and choose SCV4-Test1.img.
                          8. Connect male2male to the PC. Wait for drivers to be installed (it will be WorldCup device or something like that).
                          9. Disconnect it.
                          10. Connect again.
                          11. Click [Start] in Burning Tool.
                          12. Wait.
If You have an error, push the reset button and let it start flashing again.
If it won't help, write about it.

Could you adapt your blue rom to this boxes in order to have wifi/bluetooth working?
                              thanks

Just an information about the procedure
If you don't have a cable usb male male.. You can use burning card with scv4 img and and flash automatically with paperclip reset power on off
