i just installed latest ota update, v7 to fix kodi passthrough dts, and it seems that worked, but i notice that dolby atmos, for instance doesn't work, i notice that in settings, there's no more hdr and sdr options, someone have noticed that? it's planned to work on it? Thanks

I just installed it using the usb burning tool, then put the OTA on a usb drive and flashed it, no issues at all, super straight forward and seems to work better than then stock image that came with my Generic h96Pro Plus

NOTE: needed to add the magic root thingie in able to be able to actually use the reboot and some other functions

Don't think so. Kernel would have to be compiled with drivers for the dongle.

The original firmware is utter crap, but this rom that you've developed is amazing.

I was having problems with the wifi signal. The box said the network was out of range. I connected a wifi dongle with Mediatek chip and apparently it worked. There was a good gain in the reception and the network manager shows two networks with the same name, one of which is out of reach.

hi guys, sorry to ask a bit of a dumb question - but I'd like to know how to update to the V7 OTA update which is on the front page?

I downloaded the V4 img as it was a single image file, and installed onto my H96 Pro+ via USB Burning Tool. It installed no probs. I would have done the V7A but noticed there was multiple files so wasn't sure how to properly burn it straight onto the device? Once loaded, I tried to do OTA update but it came up with an error "Check Failed! Check Your OTA Server Agent".

I have copied the V7A download onto an SD Card - do I install from an app within the device?

Best to run the update directly from within TWRP. Long press the reset button with a toothpick or something similar until the box boots into twrp. Then flash the zip from within TWRP to update. Then clear the cache/dalvik cache and reboot.

MY H 96 pro(only) round corners box has stopped to H 96 PRO on the screen. I was trying to update tp 17.6. Has any member met the same fault where I can obtain a tuto on how to redress the situation. Update via SDcard or USB ? Please refer me to a post where I can obtain a solution. Thanks.

I think your are flashing your box with the wrong firmware. H96 pro is a different hardware China Box.
