Unfortunately MAGISK or systemless SuperSU won;t allow online modifications made to system partitions. However You can do it through TWRP. There is File Manager and Terminal, both with a way to chmod files.

You need to use reset button for now.

With Root You could use terminal and commands su and than reboot recovery. However there is no Root app to give root permission to other apps and installing SuperSU may brick the Box.
Later (after flashing MAGISK thorught Recovery and than installing systemless Xposed) You will be able to use GravityBox (N) or APN module to add additional reboot options like Soft Reboot and Reboot to Recovery under Power Menu.

                It does totally not work?
So it may coz of different frequencies used by Vorke Box and it's remote and one used by their H96's counterparts.
As firmware is set to use different frequencies than Box had and the remote still uses, than it may be not recognized.

Maybe someone with better knowledge about it than me could help You. I'm not sure if I'm right (it's just my theory) and/or where frequencies could be changed.

That button on the Box has to have different KEY name than on H96, that's why it wasn't working and now it is.

With frequencies, it would be somewhere else. Maybe even not so easy to edit as copy/paste of the file.

Worst case sceario use a blutooth air mouse to replace the now non-functioning IR codes.
Or find hexidecimal codes for IR remote for the brand you know that does work.

I use a universal remote and I am able to import hex codes, I have learned the IR codes from the stock remote, but I can't export the file. Perhaps look on remote central and get hex commands from a Pronto user, then (if poss) import that into the box itself.

No freaking idea how you would do that.

But I certainly would like to know how to get discrete IR hex commands, those that aren't part of the stock remote- such as subs, pause, stop, fast forward, skip, audio and import that into my remote

                        Hi Guys,

Have someone tried in real and confirm that DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD works with V7a ? Before the update - when i was with a stock Rom (3G + 64G - Blue Board) - it was working perfectly - now i even cannot see the options to enable them (yes - i am in expert mode of the settings + enabled passthrough + tried different options). The AV Received works with DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD with other sources - just does not work with the H96 Pro Plus.

                        Any ideas are welcome.

                        Thanks :-)

I can confirm, that both DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD/Atmos are passed through on my H96ProPlus 3G+32G with this FW. I did this test several months ago and first it was not working and then after the fix it got working on scv7 (or was it scv6 already). Today I tested it on ATV version (SCV4A-ATV), but the basics are the same on SC FW-s.
I have selected both DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD checkeboxes for passthrough. My receiver is telling me, that it receives DTS-HD MA and Dolby Atmos/TrueHD signal and plays them OK.
As I said, I have 3G+32G version (with 2 hidden USB ports and dated somewhere first half of last year). This is one of the sad reasons Superceleron does not want to maintain these FW-s any more - too many "versions" of boards...

If you do not even see the option to enable DTS-HD and DD-TrueHD, then android does not tell kodi, that it is capable of sending those... You can look at the kodi log - kodi logs what types of audio the HW/Android can support...

One question though - you do have set audio settings in Android correctly?

                            Hi SiAuSiPo
                            Thanks for the reply.

First - when i got the device with the stock Rom - it was working. Then after i moved to SCV7 - i cannot make it run.

I even do not see the options in Kodi expert settings. I do not see the DTS-HD and the DD TrueHD.

In Android settings - i only see one setting for the audio - i checked that i want to use HDMI as audio output. Are there are any other settings which need to be checked ?

                            Thanks.

In Android Sound setting I have Digital Sounds set to HDMI RAW. I guess you have the same.

Now since you do not see HD options in Kodi audio passthrough section, I can think of 2 possibilities
                              1. You are not using Kodi 17. Are you sure you are using Kodi from Play Store/Kodi official web? Because SCV7 comes preinstalled with FTMC (might look like Kodi, but is actually better) and this is based on Kodi 16 - no HD audio there...
                              2. There is something wrong with Kodi or Android settings. If there are other apps that pass hd audio ok, then you have to look at Kodi log and see what Audio devices and parameters Kodi sees...

So, please check your Kodi version and logs... If indeed some other app can pass hd audio correctly (please let me know what those are - I do not know any, then maybe reinstall of tve FW will fix...?

I can't see and HD audio settings either. Can't recall if stock ROM had it.
