No problems like that with me. However I use it only with FullHD capable TV. Maybe flash MAGISk (if You don;t have it yet) and than use Kernel Adiutor (or similar app) to lower CPU and GPU frequencies (should be supported)?

          I have blue one (S32-V6).

Only problem I found was reboot when I was copying large files (USB->Internal). But I believe I have to weak charger (low amperage). However it's fine for now, so I'm not looking for better one.

@ hfmls - keep an eye on your cpu temp. Many have modded their H96's to increase airflow. Also, swap your HDMI cable out and see if anything changes. Hope you get it sorted out.

Maybe it didn't flash properly. I've found this ROM to be very stable, much more than stock android. Maybe do a reflash using the usb burning tool. With force erase all. I never get any of the above mentioned problems you have. What method did you use to flash and on which device?

Hello. I can not find the HDR setting in settings anymore. Has it been removed?

With this ROM what is the number of speakers one has been able to use with the spdif output? 5.1 or 7.1 or what?

Just installed SCV7A on my 3gb/32gb blue PCB box, it's working great! Thank you for all the hard work you've put into this rom. A couple of questions that may not be specific to this box...

                    1. Is there any way to install the standard youtube app instead of the AndroidTV version? I really hate the interface of the latter, and it keeps bugging me to sign into my google account each time I launch the app. On my older Mini M8S II, it came with the standard youtube app. Should I just search for the apk online, or is there a way to trick Play Store into giving me the standard youtube app?

                    2. Is it 100% true that youtube doesn't support any surround sound formats? I do see many trailers and demo videos for DTS-HD MA and DD5.1 but my AVR (denon S710W) always says stereo when I play them back. Interestingly when I play some of these youtube videos using my original PS4 on the same AVR, they do play back with the correct audio format. I did confirm that through Kodi I can play surround sound formats through the box.

                    TIA

A1. I use iYTBP MAGISK module for normal YT app. You cannot update it (as it will break iYTBP mods), but it gives You some features -background playback (app thinks that YT Red is enabled) and force resolution (up to 4K). Very useful.

A2. Yep. YouTube (as YouTube, not just Android app) doesn't support. Kodi just forces stereo sound to all 5.1 speakers, but it's still stereo sound, not 5.1 one. That's just limitation of YT service, so if it's not possible than app doesn't have that option available.

Thanks for the quick response. For A1 I actually found that the ATV Youtube comes installed with the ROM and I was able to uninstall it, then grab the normal version from play store. As for the extra Magisk version features I know that background play can be done with normal app+xposed, but not sure about force 4k. I don't have a 4k display so it's not critical in any case. Thanks for confirming A2.

This rom works well for me. Thank you.
I did have one small issue with it though. I did flash this because I wanted a non-rooted andoid, since I wanted to run the Canal Digital Go app on it.
On the standard 6.0 and 7.1.1 rom it wouldnt run, just showing a message that it wont run on rooted devices.

But with this rom (SCV4 + V7A OTA update), the app still did detect the device as being rooted and refused to work.

Ironically, I then did root it using Magisk 15.3 and after this the app happily runs without knowing its rooted.

I noticed the Settings icon in the app drawer opens a slide out panel for settings, and to get the full settings menu I have to choose More Settings. Is there a way to go directly to the full settings Menu, or can the behavior of the Settings app drawer icon be changed?

Pull down statusbar and use Settings icon available there. It's shortcut to full Settings.
