Small update to this, changes launcher to Google pixel

just tried this but there is a problem with Google Sign In
go through the process and accept the terms then Sign In stops working, tried numerous times.
the first patch was fine.

My only aim was to convert with minimal changes for standard android to be used.
once you have that people can add what ever launcher or app from the market.

Having app that are on the market on the system is pointless because they are updated meaning they always end up on data as well as system
and since this reduces the system size we have extra 1gb on data and the minimum on system.

tillaz, can i use supersu instead of magisk?
your rom work with supersu too?
i not sure how to install magisk... at their site, there is 2 files, magisk v16 and magiskmanager.apk. i must install both, right? one from twrp, other later in system?

Yes for superSU
for magisk you just flash the v1.6 zip that's all

not possible for me to fix because of bootloader, so that variant isn't supported fully, its really 2GB the rest is just reserved

Well you would loss the ability to use app that reject root

Here is a small patch to convert this ATV rom to standard android, for the people who want that.

This auto wipes data, flash in recovery.

Last update for this, tested and working fine.

• Fix Play store (Some app incompatible or not showing)
• Google now launcher
• Statusbar enabled
• Removed YoutubeLeanback (Install normal one from store)

Are we to use each patch in order or does this supersedes your previous patch?

If anything I can remove Google Now, Google Home, Google Assistant, Google Playstore and YouTube, to truly make this rom lean and mean. After all the buzz with Android devices causing wifi drop offs on routers, eliminating Google Krappola will keep unwanted traffic on my home network. Almost tempted just to use my router as a media server via ethernet, and drop WIFI connex between box and my home network because of the mess google has created.

after failing to install the second patch you posted, I installed the first one you did [bit of a novelty having to use the pin hole for twrp as being stuck on the sign in screen I had no reboot to recovery option]
anyways on the first patch I have it using the Trebuchet Launcher which will do for me, is this an option on the latest patch ?
