"Supposedly" this should still output to HDMI. I will test state 0 and save everyone the aggravation, and reflash to standard "1" state if "0" state doesn't output anymore to screen. However, i haven't found a way to change the 1 to 0 in state file and have it save, even though rooted. Any idea how to save this to 0? There is an app called HDMI State something or other in freak tab that does this and works for other tv boxes and apparently they can play hdmi blocked apps and still output to screen even though set to state 0, but it doesn't work for the X7.

EDIT: Here is the link to HDMI Virtual Switch where I got the idea from:

It is off and I have also disabled it in build.prop to be sure. Still Chrome seems to disregard the setting. It's the only app I have seen flash the red square. I'm currently using 'Boat Browser for Tablet' with which I have never seen it despite browsing the same sites as with Chrome.

could you please check if the /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 exists?

could you please attach the output of "ls -l /dev/block/" ?

        thanks

i uploaded new kernel which now hides the hdmi state. Could you please test if it works for you and if there's any regression in hdmi.

I had this when i regressed back to 4.2.2 (HFW 3.2 from Lewy20041), it seems to still not be mounting !

Would my information be usefull aswell?

Also, any clue why there is no audio manager in kitkat? I've tried looking it up on Google but I see it nowhere that people are missing it out of their rom.

Did RockChip remove it for some reason? And if so, would the files from the 4.2.2 rom work?

              1. external_sd is mounted under /dev/block/mmcblk0p if it doesn't exist , you cant mount the external_sd.

              2. no, 4.4.2 sdk is for tablet and doesn't have
audio manager. It's still needed to add

                Webcam

Which webcam can you use with this ROM? I tried my C170 (the one that always worked) but this time no succes. Could someone implement the webcam drivers? Many of us would appreciate that.
                So far the best ROM!!!!

My SD card works perfectly fine within the OS. It's just that I have trouble accessing it in CWM. I actually managed to mount it in CWM but any actions on the device failed (format, backup, etc.).

                    Thanks
I ran this and no problem with outputing screen to hdmi but unfortunately it didn't solve the Showtime app HDMI block issue. Thanks for trying though, appreciate it. There is a hacked showtime apk out there that unblocks hdmi check but i was looking for something that was more universal so everyone could use the fix regardless of the app.

                    Thanks again for trying!

Try this APP which has worked for some on hiding HDMI to apps.

                        Hi.

Thanks a lot for this ROM, there are a number of features in 4.4.2 that I want to use on my X7. One major issue I am having is that I am unable to get it to present itself to my computer over adb.

On other ROM's this is done through an option that they have added into the android settings.

I am not too clued up on how that works behind the scenes and thus can't implement it myself. Do you have any idea (or know how to find out) what needs to be done to either create this option or have this enable by default?

                        Thanks.

                          awesome!

i tried v .92 with stock kernel and had issues that was mentioned before like white bars during boot and restarts/shutdowns. with oc kernel (kernel-minix-x7-160114), everything is really smooth and fast. excellent work wasser and everyone who worked on this rom.

one thing i noticed rightaway is that my IR remote is not working, eventhough it says ir-remote issue is fixed in this kernel. I used stock remote (minix x7 remote) as well as my harmony remote but none of the command works. is there any fix for making ir remote accept commands?

                          again, awesome work!

Yeh i have came across this issue myself. Pretty sure is was a section for USB in the settings menu that enabled it in the other roms i have run in the past.

I do not have this rom but go to settings, about tablet and click the build number 7 times quickly, this will enable developer mode and you can then turn on USB debugging.
