Yeah you should Always be 60hz as that matches the tvs refresh rate

Been at 24hz would of been crazy laggy as limited to 24fps

Do you not have a 1080p orption? Rather than 1080i

Really old tv... Only 1080i60Hz or 1080p24Hz. Now I have to test the auto framerate things
gotta watch different types of content to see if anything lags

Whats the difference? between 1080p and 1080i?

And one more question! I had the original V10beta and patched with the 10.1 zip you posted somewhere. Should I reinstall the 10.1 that is on the front page? And do you have any idea why when I shutdown the box it hangs for 10 seconds with the progress wheel stopped? Hard to explain but it starts shuting down and then the wheel stops and then it finnaly turns off after 10 seconds.

1080i video is "interlaced." 1080i video plays back at 60 frames per second, but that's a bit deceptive, because it's actually broadcast at 30 frames per second. The TV then displays those frames twice, in a way—the first pass is 1,920-by-540 for the even scan line field, and the second pass is 1,920-by-540 for the odd scan line field. The process by which this occurs is called interlacing. It contributes to a sense of motion and reduces perceived flicker.

1080p video is called "progressive scan." In this format, 1,920-by-1,080-pixel high-definition movies are progressively drawn line after line, so they're not interlaced. On paper, that may not seem like a huge deal. But in the real world, what you end up seeing looks sharper and more defined than 1080i, particularly during scenes with a lot of fast motion.

Sometimes 1080p is termed "full HD" or "true HD," to distinguish it from 1080i or 720p video. Blu-ray discs contain 1080p video at 24 frames per second, and then, using a method known as 3:2 pulldown, display it at 30 frames per second on screen.

Yes 10.1 is latest, I have that also but its like 5 seconds.
its pretty normal to me as that progress bar is their while shutdownthread is telling all apps/services to save data as the system is going down
so depending whats running it will vary how long it takes.

But do you think it is an important update? I already got everything setup.
And the weird thing is that in restarting it doesn't happen.

I have a question. How do you know if you're affected by, and in need of the BT patch? My serial number stars with G912 on my GT1 Ultimate.

Also, do you flash the ROM, then Magisk, or Magisk then the ROM?

hello, been reading thru this thread for a little bit, and i casn see its a difficult jib. appreciate your help.
i have 2 a706D boxes. i did one about 3 weeks where i used terminal and 2 other files, i cant find that thread. but i found this one.
I have read most of it, in need to ask, are there any other things i need to know? the last time i put the files in the root of the emulated drive. evrything went well, but that device needs updating again from what i can see so far.
i cannot use the usb to usb method, my computers will not communicate with the burning tool. i have a 32 gig sandisk gig sandisk ultra micro sd. will that be ok?
                  thanks

Yesterday I try the original Vorke firmware on GT1 for the RAM issue. All workig great but RAM remain 2GB, then I revert back to tillaz87 V10.1 and for now I remain with this version. All stuff I have installed workig great for now (KODI, Terrarium TV, a couple of games and some other apps). Thanks again tillaz87 for your great support with GT1.

tillaz87 Is there any way to force use of 2Gb of ram on device that is having 3Gb. I'm still thinking about AX12 3d issue. First of all antutu shows low result for RAM test, games looks like waiting for data. If they virtualized some portion of memory, maybe using lower range will solve issue. Anoth

tillaz87 ... Thank you for continued development of the firmware for Beelink GT1 box. I was waiting to get the USB cable to burn v9 and it is already 10.1. Quick question: I am on the official 6.0.1 (updated by OTA from beelink). If I want to update to 10.1 do I still need to get beelink 7.1.2? Or Can I directly burn your 10.1 using USB burn tool?

                          Thanks,
                          Vab

Any changes I made to ram partition in the device tree wouldn't boot already tried this for 706D it's like it's linked to bootloader

By default this has 500mb zRAM
Maybe try limiting background processes from developer options to 0 that will have less ram in use
