I've never had to pay customs using the standard shipping to uk from china. just make sure you use paypal and avoid the Chinese versions

There is only Chinese version atm for the mi4, just checked the specs and they use both same gpu so hardware acceleration would be the same performance on kodi ,since hardware acceleration uses the gpu .

Only reason against the mi4 is it lacks hardware decoding support for VP9 which YouTube uses. the older international version has VP9

I don't use YouTube , I will get the Mi box 3, if there was some way to enable the drm on the gt1, I would get that one since gpu and CPU is superior.

Installed with no ATV, everything works fine, but I've a problem with amazon app store. I make the log in an then it freeze. On previos version of rom it works (with ATV)

there are a couple of threads on it, but i think it is based on framework and the launcher used.

On another box modded 6.0.1 firmware thread, the stock launcher was used to replace the launcher on the custom rom. On another thread on custom firmware, the framework was based on a firmware never used on the clock display boxes, so no option unless you know how to modify framework.

No something I would look into, for vorke it was in framework, device tree, kernel, libs + bin

Its a dead end really wouldn't be worth the hassle much easier to just make / use a rom for that device

Another question. How can I see the apps on background? With the v8 holding twice home button I can see them. With this version with no ATV it doesn't work. Is there an app on play store?

That's part of ATV so you loss that when you convert to standard android. You would have to enable the nav bar and use that for standard recant apps (cards)
