Hm,

now, I am not sure what to do.
My model is Wisdom ZH01-S912-TVBOX- V3.0 green PCB.

When I ordered a Box I thought that there is only one model that works correctly.

When I plug on the box for the first time It obvious that there are some problems with it.
Work was unstable. I need several times to plug on and off, many freezing, service stopping, crashing. Mostly I couldn't get it to work at all.
Firs idea was factory reset - no use.
Then I found how to reinstall firmware on youtube. I tried with SD card and brick it.
After that I managed to fix it over USB cable - not sure which ROM I used.
Looking for support from Gearbest - ROM from their support page also brings unstable work as original one.
They offered me to return item on my expenses and they will resend me another one or they will refund me amount for item on GB wallet for another buying or pay additionally 35 $ and they will resend without returning one that is with me.
Since I spend enough, even more then I planned for TV box (costumes expenses), my decision was to pay addition money for one that will work correctly (sending from Croatia to China is about 30$)
After reading yours posts I think that I will have two useless TV boxes at the end.

This is my experience with GB - maybe it will help someone in future buying.

ok first it s esay to identify your problem

when i say your tv box is bricked there s three possibility

when your open your box first take power on if you have light blue or red and on your tv that s stop on screen H96 PRO+ that s SEMI BRICKED

YOUR must started on recovery mode insert a toothpick or tip into the small hole on the left side of the device

plug your power after and when the box start is arrived on this menu


for resolve the prb boot that s just necessary to go to mount system and after reboot now

or for go to factory reset you see on the menu there choice wipe data first and after go to choice wipe factory reset and after reboot now

the rom you used is here only model wisdom

3 possiblity : your box have no blue light no red light no light on SPIF out
no connexion in recovery mode on pc witi usb cable male male with usb burning tools ( no sucess connexion )

the box is completly bricked is t s necessary to take short pin on pcb for have connexion succes ( this mode is on mask rom )

i have find the screen where you see the shortpin circuit for wisdom pcb ZH01 S912 TVBOX 2.0

BUT see the pcb is the same at you is ok

hi superceleron i had same video playing issue, and changed my rom to a nexus one ( Alfawise S92 TVStock Nexus ROM). its works something bulky. maybe a clue?

Like i said is a codec problem, dunno if i cant fix it... since is nearly impossible without the sources!

Hi Superceleron and conpany i installer this rom ( marvelous )but i can not write on hard disk externar from kodi or ftmc, i instaled root,xposed etc everything working and delete files from filesmanager etc but not in kodi o ftmc how can i write/delete in this app??

Did you install this ROM on a H96 Pro+? And there were no codec issues with that ROM?

yes i installed rom that you linked and i have no codec problem. no pixellation or macroblocking. But sometimes my box slows and frozen on this nexus rom.

Don't think so. It won't even work on all variants of H96 Pro+, so I would say that Tanix is out of the question. However You may try it. There is huge chance for brick, but if You won't try, than You won't know if t works

If I knew which file (codec) needs to be replaced from the other firmware to fix the issue I would try it. (I've downloaded a tool which can extract amlogic firmwares)
If someone knows it please share.

The rom was buggy had some problems with lan connection (was not linked after restart) so after few resets started working again.
I decided to reflash the box with celerons image, but as I found later no rom is working.
using usb flash tool 2.1.2 and corrected licence file I always get error messages when flashing.

but now the wifi doesn't work, and also some apps are still buggy

I also have discrepancies in version of the PCB and RAM??

I've tried countless firmwares, they either wouldn't flash or if they did flash they would just constantly crash. It isn't the newest one I found, but none of the newer ones would work without constantly rebooting or crashing apps.

Thank you, the box flashed ok, but sometimes It craches on wifi connection.
this rom is at least 80% working.
