I have it on my 32gb UT2, best ROM yet. Don't see why it wouldn't work on 8gb UT2.

Does anyone know an easy way to use these devices like a Chromecast? I would like to be able to mirror/cast from my phones native app (HTC M8 GPE running Android 5.0.1) and avoid using 3rd party apps if possible.

Is this achievable?

The only ~problem I'm having is that now the T428 isn't seeing my Tronsmart USB Ethernet dongle. So, no wired connection but the wifi is working. Anyone know if there is something I can change to get it to find the USB Ethernet dongle? Maybe a different one with a different chipset or an edit to some system file??

No, I wasn't using the ROM on a Minix. ROMs for some devices will work on other devices because they happen to be similar in design. I use this ROM on a Ugoos UT2 and I like it so much I decided to try it on my Tronsmart T428. It worked well execpt for this issue. I just couldn't stand not being able to get a wired connection so I reverted to using the Finless ROM on the T428.

I use this ROM on a Ugoos UT2 and I like it so much I decided to try it on my Tronsmart T428. It worked well execpt for this issue. I just couldn't stand not being able to get a wired connection so I reverted to using the Finless ROM on the T428.

thx for the post ..... i'm asking this because i'm having a problem with my x7 .... the screen brightness is increasing or decreasing, depending of an god know what algorithm. if this does not bother you to much, can you help me with some questions pls...
- do I need to install a new rom and if so, do you know a version that remove this bug, and don't have others (bugs)?


by the way the build number is kot49h .... i've search on minix.com.hk and have no idea if I can use a rom from there

What you are saying is that the brightness changes on it's own? Sounds like it might be "flickering" which I have seen some posts about.

Sometimes if you flash the same ROM again it fixes problems like this. I've read several posts about a problem that arises from a new ROM being flashed and re-flashing the very same ROM fixes the issue.

thx for the answer ... I'll see what can I do .... the real problem of the rom on my x7 is that it hasn't any settings for the brightness or the button for the auto brightness .... i'll keep diging

Updated to Wasser 1.04 kk from finless 1.9 jb

I flashed 1.04 yesterday and I am glad to say that this is a great rom. I have tried several other kk roms, this is by far the best. As far as set up goes and features for the end user jb has nothing on this. The display looks identical. The passthrough is great too. No troubles whatsoever. I have a question, I want to upgrade wasser xbmc 1.2 to 1.3. When I do, will I lose my xbmc configuration? I did back it up allready but it has been my experience in the past that xbmc restore does not restore all of it the entire way it was before. I allready installed 1.3 after my install last night, but after I set it up today I realized I was still running 1.2. I'm not sure how that happened, but it did. Thanks for all of the hard that went into producing such a great rom. Thanks, Kevin

Smokie this is what I did for XBMC:

I backed up the wasser FILES folder that is on the SDCARD from inside wassers xbmc folder. The entire Files folder. Backed up to a hard drive on my PC.
Then I uninstalled Wasser V1.2 of xbmc
Then I installed Wasser V1.3 of XBMC
Then I ran it for the first time
Then I went in to SDCARD wasser xbmc again and deleted the new Files folder that got created on first run
Then I copied my backed up files folder to the wasser xbmc folder
Then started xbmc and all is well!

Now, I'm not sure this method is "proper" or not, but it worked for me. I think if you just backup your addons folder, userdata folder and copy them back after installing V1.3 and running it for the first time you'll see that it works too.

Anyway, someone's going to post about the "proper" way to do this. I do not like the xbmc backup addon either. It seems like it leaves things incomplete.....to me.

But then I'm a jackleg N00B that knows nothing anyway

Well you know these settings, this is just a guess, might not be there because you connect an X7 to a TV to see it. The brightness settings for the TV are used. I don't know what part of the world you are in but most US TVs save the settings for EACH input to that input. So if you set up HDMI 1 for cable TV box and change brightness, contrast, color settings, etc and then set up HDMI 2 for the X7 you can use totally different settings for it than you have used on HDMI 1.

a little help anyone .... i've tried to flash my x7 with the rkbatchtool and failed to upload the image and now the device won't start and when I plug the cable in the device to try an other flush ... the icon in the app goes blue and then disappears from the app (and the usb port is showing something conected and then the icon of the usb device also disappears ) ..... the freaking thing seams to be dead ... any ideeas guys ???

"failed to upload the rom" ... thats what was listed on the screen ...or something like that ... not the power was interrupted

Try pressing and holding the on-button on the device but release only the reset pinhole.
Keep holding the button while it's flashing. Worked for me to reflash to 4.2.

I have another issue. I'm trying to connect to Android Studio on OSX but the Minix is not detected on the OTG USB port. Is this normal (with Wasser v1.0.4)?
I tried to connect with my TabS and it does work but not with the Minix7+Wasser 1.0.4.
